Returning Members:

Returning scouts will be receiving their registration forms by Labor Day September 6th, 2010. As usual, Karen Johnstone will personally deliver your child's registration package. If by some chance you do not meet up with her please call 514-483-1152.

New Memberships:

Registration will be open for new memberships at the Legion Memorial Arena located at 220 Bedbrook Avenue in Montreal West on Tuesday September 7th, 2010 starting at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. For more information do not hesitate to call Karen at 514-483-1152.

Welcome to another exciting year of Scouting!

Here is some general information that you and your parents might find useful.

1. Meetings are held every Thursday at Elizabeth Ballantyne School, beginning at 7:30PM and finish at 9:00PM.

2. The required Scout uniform for regular meetings consists of the blue MWSG T-shirt and neckerchief.

However, the tan dress shirt and sash will be required to be worn on the first meeting of every month and for formal activities such as Remembrance Day and year-end ceremonies. Other formal activities will be announced well in advance.

3. Some program activities will take place outside of Montreal West. We will let you know about these and provide all details in advance. Permission slips

Welcome to the Montreal West Scout Group Web Page. Some of you may be fellow scouters who are in the group or scouters from other groups visiting this site out of interest and curiosity. I hope that it will be of interest to all who visit.

The Montreal West Scout Group is part of the Stoney Point Area. Click here for a map of all groups in our area.

We are situated in the town of Montreal West, Quebec, Canada. (click for Google Map) We meet once a week in our local school gyms to do games, sports, badge work, learning new skills and lots of other things. We are also a very active group and try to get out as much as possible, whether it is on a field trip, rock climbing or camping out in the wilderness. We are very active in our community, volunteering and doing our fair share of good turns. We do fundraisers of all sorts to help subsidize camps and activities. We are currently the largest group in Quebec, with almost 150 Members! We have 30 Beavers, 36 Cubs, 38 Scouts, 17 Venturers and 25 Leaders. We are also one of the top ten largest groups in Canada.
